The Horsley Directory is committed to protecting personal data and has produced this page to detail what, if any, personal data is collected. It applies to personal data provided to us, both by individuals or businesses.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable living person. When collecting and using personal data, our policy is to be transparent about what personal data we possess. The Horsley Directory may change this policy from time-to-time by updating this page so you should check back to ensure that you are happy with any changes.

Collection of personal data

Our policy is to collect as little personal data as possible, but to still enable communication and provision of advertising services for our clients. The personal data we may collect to achieve this can be:

  • Business name/personal name
  • Business address/personal address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number

Data retention

We retain the personal data collected by us for as long as an advertiser retains an advertisement within the magazine. After this period, the data is deleted within the statutory 5-year period. 

You have a right of access under data protection law to the personal data that we hold about you. We seek to keep that personal data correct and up to date. You should let us know if you believe the information we hold about you needs to be corrected or updated.
